I managed to get about HALF of my primitive collection priced and boxed up last night. We now actually have a BARE WALL in our home! That’s a rarity!

We’ve been sorting and cleaning and packing stuff away for this sale for MONTHS now! (Seriously! I started setting stuff aside for the sale after the shows last fall!) And I keep finding even MORE stuff that I want to get rid of!

Many items are ‘one of a kinds’, but we also have multiples of many items. I’ve put as much info as I had time to in the pics in the albums. I am not able to give any ‘price checks’ or tell you haw many of something I have other than the info with the pictures. The stuff is all packed away in the trailer, and I cannot get to it until Saturday when Michael brings the trailer to the store.
I am not able to hold items. If you REALLY want to be sure you get a certain item, it’s best to come early. We have HEAVILY advertised the sale in Craigslist, and expect to be VERY busy.
Items originally priced up to $39.95 will be just $5.00! Nothing in the sale is more than $5.00. Many items $1-3.00! All prices are FIRM!

Ahhhhh . . . it’s THAT time of year! It does not matter how well prepared I am or HOW far ahead I plan; THIS time of year there just are NEVER enough hours in the day! And of course this year I had to add in a SIDEWALK SALE, just for fun!
The sidewalk sale is THIS SATURDAY,
OCTOBER 4TH; 10am – 2pm
And we’ve got a LOT of stuff!
Michael has been sorting through his piles of junk (good junk!) and I’ve been cleaning out the craft room of stuff I will NEVER get around to using! It’s all loaded up in the trailer and ready to go to the store on Saturday morning. The sale will be outside, in front of the empty space next door. (but under cover. Of course it’s supposed to RAIN on Saturday!) Rain seldom stops a true Oregonian anyhow! And you can park right at the curb, so it’s just a few steps to the awning where the sale will be.
Michael will be outside running the sidewalk sale separately from the store, but of course the store is open too. Lots of ‘quick to finish’ things in the sidewalk sale. Unfinished wood book shelves, and lots of NICE plywood scraps for crafting or building yourself. (this is the wood we use for practically EVERYTHING we build! Nice stuff! GREAT prices!) Cedar planter boxes and scraps of cedar to build your own. LOTS of little wood cut-outs for the decorative painter.

AND if that weren’t enough to keep me busy for a while, the store is now open Wednesday – Saturday until Christmas. I am busy ‘re-organizing’ the store to make room for Christmas, which will be arriving over the next couple of weeks. Should be all ‘decked out’ by mid-month!
THEN, it’s time to get ready for the fall shows! And as if I weren’t busy enough already . . . I’m going to be doing ANOTHER show in addition to my usual two! The former owners of Gingerberry Cottage (they closed their store summer 2007) are doing a show here in Hillsboro. I’ll be adding that info later along with the other show information.

Regular blog reader and aspiring young crafter, Rachel and her mom were the first to arrive for the spring shopping party. A very determined Rachel searched diligently and found the ‘grand prize’ package of purple Peeps. She and mom enjoyed a 30% discount on their entire purchase.

Young Jackson (he’s THREE NOW! Been a customer since BEFORE he was born!) searched high and low (well mostly low!) to find a pink monkey with a 20% discount certificate for his momma. Then he located every other monkey and bunny in the store while mom shopped.
A good dose of spring shopping therapy was had by all!

Here’s what you are looking for:
There will be 7 of the bunnies with 10% discount tags; 5 of the monkeys with 20% discount tags; and JUST ONE PACKAGE OF PURPLE PEEPS WITH A 30% DISCOUNT TAG.
The bunnies and monkeys will be in fairly plain sight, but the package of purple peeps with the pretty bow will be slightly hidden and have to be ‘hunted for’.
I’ll keep track of which have been redeemed at the counter, so I can tell you which are still out there to be found. AND, if all of them don’t get snatched up on Friday night, I’ll leave the remaining ones out on Saturday for those of you who might not have been able to get in on Friday.
