made into bird houses:
Adorned with assorted pieces of old hardware.
And some made into peg racks and towel racks:
For the paint on the birdhouses and peg racks I used a ‘dry brush’ technique.

OH these are awesome! so creative! Makes me wish I knew how to you woodworking tools. I have a bunch of old fence pieces lying out on the driveway waiting for the trash pickup, all the things I could make, if I only had a way to cut it… lol.

I love your ideas, they are very pretty.Maybe you can help me figure out what I can do for a decorative fence to keep mt 3 goldens out of my flowers and bushes??My yard is enclosed with splitrail and in front of that I have a two foot space that runs along it that has flowers and other plants. We tried to put stakes and twine to keep them out but that doesn’t seemto work out all the time.Iwould like to keep it country\shabby chic looking and use recycled materials to make it.Any ideas???
The FIRST thing that came to my mind was the ‘invisible fencing’, but that stuff might be a bit pricey. Next thought is to TRAIN the dogs to not go there. See if any of the pet care stores have some kind of stuff that you can sprinkly on the ground that keeps pets away from the area.
Since it is a split rail fence behind the flowers, MORE fencing is just going to feel too heavy and like too much, unless you create a ‘mini’ version of teh split rail to put in front of the flowers.
Asside from putting all you plants and having a container garden, that’s all I can thing of.
