Stars Tour: SALE! July 12-16, 2018

Seems like it’s been forever since I’ve posted pictures from the other booths at Stars.  With the upcoming store-wide sale, it seemed like a good time to do so.

SO MUCH great stuff is all the booths!  I’m going to let the pictures do all the talking.

And now for a quick peek at my two booths; for which, as always, EVERYTHING is 50% off during the sale.  I just added a bunch of new inventory too!

P1360204

My ‘big’ booth.

Vintage and reproduction little milk bottles are perfect for serving beverages in at your summer party.

Pretty vintage gold dishes.

Vintage suitcases, hat boxes and picnic baskets.

My very favorite style of vintage dishware; white Ironstone with scalloped edges.  I have a collection of vintage Johnson Brothers English Ironstone at home that I use.  The ones I have stocked at Stars are from various manufacturers, some from England and some with no maker’s mark.  There are over EIGHTY of the little ‘dessert’ size plates.  I got a GREAT deal on them, and as I am in the habit of doing, I’ve passed my savings along to the buyer in my pricing.  Regular price on the dessert plates (no maker’s marks) is $2.00 each.  Get them for just $1.00 each during the sale!!

I’ve decided to part with some of my personal collections.  My ceramic hand collection and my Ironstone Lion’s head soup tureens (two sizes) and ramekins (two sizes).  The lion’s head ramekins are TOO cute!

Yes, my big booth IS jam-packed!

As is my wall space!  Happy Shopping and Happy SAVING!

HAPPY SHOPPING!

HAPPY SAVING!!

IT’S SALE TIME AT STARS!

I just restocked my booth with TEN boxes of inventory; including Spring and Easter decor and gifts.

Just in time for the upcoming FIVE DAY sale at Stars Antique Malls

The sale begins Thursday, March 1 and continues through Monday, March 5, 2018.

STORE HOURS ARE 11am – 6pm; 7 days a week

And, as I am in the habit of always doing, everything in MY booth will be 50% off during this sale.  Price tags show the regular price; discount will be given at check-out.  Look for the sale signs in the other booths for the discount that other vendors are offering.

And now a peek at ‘The Goods’:

Vintage and handcrafted Easter decor and gifts.

Some ‘general’ spring decor . . .  bird cages, nests and eggs, terra-cotta pots, cloches and little birds with crowns.

Grey faux concrete and wood decorative finials.  (details on how I did the faux concrete coming soon!)

Always have plenty of these items stocked in my booth: vintage Ironstone and Milk Glass, vintage and upcycled cloches, crowns, cake stands, vintage mason jars and upcycled bottles.

White furniture.

Of course, aqua furniture!

ONE WEEK TIL SHOWTIME!!

I’m getting pretty excited for the upcoming Rebel Junk Marketplace at Washington County Fairgrounds February 2 & 3.

Still working away on a few last minute projects for the show. . . . .

This shabby bar stool and little round accent table will be available at the show.

P1340543P1340544

I especially LOVE the way the tops of these two items turned out; so EXTRA grubby and shabby!  The table had a ‘fabric-like’ finish; that shows through the two coats of paint when I sanded it.  The bar stool had your standard light wood seat.  BOOOOooo0000oooRING!  I did several layers of paint and it was still not grubby enough.  Since I really liked the texture that the fabric stuff gave to the table, I decided to try something similar with the bar stool.  I applied a single layer of a two-ply paper napkin with tacky glue.  Let it dry and added another two coats of paint; black then white.  LOVE how it turned out!  Single layers of napkins are going to be my new ‘secret weapon’ I think!

P1340553

I’m also paring down some of my own personal items to sell at the show.  I’ve had this sweet little set of three wicker ‘suitcases’ for well over 20 years, and have used them to store just about everything imaginable, from craft supplies to clothing.  They are still in PERFECT condition.  $48.00 for the set of three.  (just $38.40 with your 20% discount . . .  don’t forget to ASK for the discount!!)

P1340555

This metal Eiffel Tower clock was in my booth at Stars for a while.  I found the metal cut out at a thrift shop and added the clockworks.  For some reason, people are compelled to ‘mess around with the clock hands’.  I fixed them are re-tightened the nut that holds the hands in place at least a dozen times.  Finally decided to bring it home when someone actually STOLE the nut and broke one of the hands?!?!  Fortunately I have a stash of ‘clock works’ on hand at home and was able to replace them.  Will be taking this to the Rebel Junk Show too.

I can’t wait to unpack all the goodies that I’ve been stashing away for the last year for this show.  It’s going to be like Christmas for me getting to see all the stuff again!

There’s still time to buy your tickets on-line and avoid waiting in the long line on the show dates.

SALE AT STARS ANTIQUE MALL

*~* SAVINGS ALERT *~*

ACK!  It’s been such a busy week that I almost forgot to tell you  that it’s SALE TIME at Stars again!!  The sale started yesterday and runs through Monday, October 30th.  As always, EVERYTHING in my booth is 50% off during the sale.  Lots of cute Halloween stuff still available.  Lots of everything really in my booth and throughout BOTH malls.    Each vendor selects what % off they give for the sale.  Look for the sale signs in each booth.  Happy shopping!

END OF SUMMER SALE??

It sure doesn’t FEEL like it’s the end of summer, with daytime temperatures still reaching the upper 90’s; but it IS Labor Day Weekend, and the unofficial end of summer . . . which means it’s time for the

Stars Antique Malls End of Summer SALE.

As it always is for the store-wide sales at Stars, each vendor sets their own discount amount for their booth; and I ALWAYS offer 50% off everything in my booth during the sales.

I just stocked all my Halloween goods too!  Yes, they are all 50% off too!

~::~

Unique faux pumpkins; some pale blue ones and silver glitter.  The white ones are BIG.  The one sitting on top of an urn is coated with a ‘sugar glitter’.  The GINORMOUS one, sitting on the chair, is painted with ‘fairy dust’, that sparkly iridescent glitter.   It is seriously the biggest faux pumpkin that I have ever seen.  I cannot even reach my arms all the way around it!

The sale runs Friday – Monday, September 1-4; 11am – 6pm.

It’s time for the STARS SUMMER SALE!

FOUR DAYS OF GREAT SAVING ON AWESOME OLD STUFF!!

Sale runs Thursday, July 13th through Sunday, July 16th; 11am – 6pm

***Look for the % off sale signs in each individual booth; and as ALWAYS, everything in MY booth is 50% off during the sale.

Just added these awesome upcycled Mannequins / dress forms to my booth.  The female form includes the wrought iron base, but it’s not ‘attached’ for easier transport.

Just added this nice BIG metal shelf to my booth, so now I can display more of my vintage Ironstone dishware all in one place; instead of spread out all over the booth.

But ‘some’ of the Ironstone is still ‘elsewhere’ in my booth.

P1320549

All kinds of cloches!!  Pillar candle pedestals and cupcake stands make great bases for cloches.

Everything just looks better under a cloche!

Come on by and see what’s new. . . er OLD!

QUICK POST – PICTURES OF MY G-SALE STUFF

All set up and ready to go!  Sale starts in 45 minutes, at 10am.  Here are some pictures of the goods all set up.  FREE lemonade and ice water;  Cherry-pineapple popsicles $1.00, so you can stay cool while you shop!

My hand painted signs at up to 80% off retail price.

Now what?!?!? How about a Garage Sale!

My etsy shop is officially closed.  So, now what?!?!  I’ve been researching other sites, and it seems that each one has as many bad reviews as good reviews; so I’m still on the fence.

In the meantime I’ve decided to have a garage sale.  This upcoming weekend is when the Rock Creek Neighborhood Association has their annual Garage Sale, so I decided to ‘piggy back’ on that.  (Where I live isn’t a part of the Assoc.)   But I can only handle sitting out in the heat for one day, so my g-sale will be Saturday only.

THIS SATURDAY, JUNE 24th ~ 10am – 3pm

20660 NW Lapine Way  Portland, Oregon  97229  Rock Creek, right by the soccer fields.

What am I selling?  Signs.  LOTS of signs leftover from my etsy shop; and priced to SELL FAST at up to 80% off the retail price.

00t0t_ixuZAzMlvaJ_600x450

These pictures are NOT a representation of the EXACT signs I will have available in the sale. But the only pictures I have to use just now.

I also have some over-stock from my booth at Stars:

Prices SLASHED from what they were in my booth!

I have  a few grubby candles left that will be for sale  (and YES, they still smell good!)  Some craft supplies.  Some general household stuff.  (like old plastic hangers – the only ones are MUCH stronger than they new flimsy ones you buy these days!)  And some home decor items that I just don’t have room for anymore!

I’m also selling ALL THESE primitive doll making supplies ‘as a lot’ (the pictures above and below!) for $50.00.  I am not putting these out as part of my garage sale, but you can buy them during the sale.  I also have the lot listed on criagslist, but also only for purchase during the g-sale hours on Saturday.

Included in this lot is:

Lots of different kinds and colors of doll hair.
Muslin doll body blanks (one already painted)
Muslin doll body ‘parts’, head/torsos, arms and legs. Some are already tea stained.
Homespun and country fabric for doll dresses.
Pre-cut and partially sewn doll dressed (to fit the above bodies.
Rusty tin and stuffed fabric angel wings
A dozen grubby tea stained baby socks, stained string and cheesecloth. (I was going to make these intl little grubby stocking ornaments.)

Come by and say hi and get some goods stuff at great prices!

P.S.  For some reason I cannot access my Facebook page or post on FB?!?! (THIS post is only showing up because it came from my blog)  My son says it’s because I don’t have enough internet speed, but I ONLY have this issue with FB; and I refuse to pay more for internet JUST to be able to use Facebook!!  SOOOO000ooooo . . .  if you need to reach me, you can send me a message via FB (that I can still access!) OR leave a comment here on my blog, or email me directly.

The sale has been extended!

The Stars Sale has been extended and will continue through Monday, June 5th!!

So if your weekend was too busy to get out there, you now have until tomorrow and 6pm.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

In other news, my etsy shop is now officially CLOSED for business.  I’ve been researching other on-line options for selling on and there are SO many of them!  Each has as many good reviews as they do bad reviews, so I am completely stymied!

And I’m just not convinced that I should pay for my own website right now.  The numerous sites that have ‘free shops’ only allow you to list a very limited number of items.

I have considered just adding a selling feature to my blog.  I even looked up ‘how to sell on my free WordPress blog’; but for the life of me I canNOT find the ‘widget’ to add for a shopping cart?!?!  sigh.

Maybe I’ll just list some items here in my blog and have buyers leave a comment to purchase; then send them a PayPal invoice to pay??  Does that sound too ‘rinky dink’?  Would YOU buy like that from a blog?

This is a pretty busy month for me with my CASA volunteer work, but I’m HOPING to get some things on my blog before too long.
