MORE Christmas in my booth at Stars

Took the rest of my Christmas goods to Stars this week.

P1370612Both of my spaces are fuller than full!

Plenty of vintage white Ironstone dishes in my wall space.

Unique hand crafted gift boxes, perfect for that ‘little gift’ or gift cards.

Hand painted Christmas signs, red glass jar lanterns come with a battery votive and SO CUTE little vintage style car with tree on top ornaments.

Trees.  Trees and MORE trees!  Bottle brush trees in just about every size and color; mounted on unique vintage bases: candle holders, tart tins, glass vials filled with ‘snow’, spools of thread and cherub candle holders!

‘Snowfolk’ made from vintage salt and pepper shakers are making an encore appearance this year; but it will be their final year.  Get them while you can.  Bottle brush trees and snowmen are the perfect winter decorations to leave out after Christmas and before you decorate for Valentine’s Day.

Vintage crepe paper rosette ornaments also make wonderful package toppers.

Vintage sheet music rosette ornaments with classic Christmas color adornments of red, gold and silver.

Both Stars malls are open 7 days a week; 11am – 6pm.

Give unique vintage and upcycled gifts this Christmas.

My additional space at Stars

All move into my additional space at Stars.  It’s a small 3′ x 8′ space along the back wall, just to the left of my bigger existing space:

I’m utilizing this space for a lot of my smalls right now; decluttering the bigger space a bit to better show off the furniture pieces.

Lots of great vintage stoneware and white dishes.

Also moved my spinner rack full of stationary goods to the space.

This rack is JAM-PACKED with goodies.  Be sure to give it a spin and take a look.  Lots of great little, inexpensive gift items, journals, note cards, hand stamped tags, even little decorated carry-out gift boxes.  Pretty wire edge ribbon and vintage paper shred in the basket below.

That’s Build Your Own Basket!  (as in gift basket!)

I found this ‘piece’ made from ten wine crates at the thrift store a while back.  Had NO IDEA what I was going to do with it; but it was unique and the price was right.

UNFORTUNATELY, I didn’t look at the back side of it, and the crates on the back weren’t painted the same as the front!

Time to experiment with paint and see if I can mix something up to match the rest of the paint color.

Not a bad match if I do say so myself!  Now, what to use it for?!?!?!  Ten empty cubbies to fill up . . .  but the lower ones and especially the ones on the backside aren’t terribly visible since things not at eye level are easily overlooked.

I decided to create a build your own gift bag or box station out of it.  The gifts items in the top part and the boxes and bags in the lower part.  Since most people don’t want price tags on items they are giving as gifts, (and it’s a pain to remove price tags!) I decided that I wouldn’t put price tags on the items in the gift station, but have everything be the same price; so no price tags are needed.

I filled it with assorted journals, notecards, listpads, bookmarks, pocket calendars and magnets.

By stacking them upright in the top bins I had room for LOTS of variety!  For the items that wouldn’t fit in the top part here, I used baskets and put them on the upper shelves on the backside.

Lip gloss, bath fizzies, shower gel, lotion, bath beads, candles . . .

Then I filled the rest of the lower shelves with ‘ready to use’ gift bags with tissue paper, curly ribbon and a hand made tag.

And I couldn’t let that little area between the top and bottom go to waste, so I put a few extra bags, left flat, in there.

The perfect spot to ‘grab a gift’ and go!

All items are retail priced at $3.95; which means Sophie’s price is just $2.00!  You can put together a very nice gift box, basket of bag containing four items for just $10.00.

Embellished gift boxes.

Made these embellished gift boxes last week.  The boxes were already covered with the colored paper when I bought them, so I just added some ’embellishments’ to them.  For some of the boxes I used the ‘Hot Off The Press’ card making kits, as I have done for jar candle labels in the past.  Fun, fast and easy.  Great to fill with holiday treats to give as a gift.
