New ‘fauxzen Charlotte’ project

I’ve been trying to think of a new way to use my faux Frozen (fauxzen) Charlotte’s.  So, I decided to look back in my blog to see what all I had done with them in the past.  I honestly FORGET about some of the projects I’ve done, until I SEE them again!

Wow!!  A lot more than I thought I had done!  I’m not sure there IS anything NEW left to do with them!?!

P1260811And then I come across some square shaped brown glass jars that are the perfect size for a mini Charlotte collage!

It was a pretty quick and simple project.  Vintage book pages background and wings; die cut crowns from metallic paper.  I tied some tea stained cheesecloth on the top and added some cute little charms.  Bam!

My additional space at Stars

All move into my additional space at Stars.  It’s a small 3′ x 8′ space along the back wall, just to the left of my bigger existing space:

I’m utilizing this space for a lot of my smalls right now; decluttering the bigger space a bit to better show off the furniture pieces.

Lots of great vintage stoneware and white dishes.

Also moved my spinner rack full of stationary goods to the space.

This rack is JAM-PACKED with goodies.  Be sure to give it a spin and take a look.  Lots of great little, inexpensive gift items, journals, note cards, hand stamped tags, even little decorated carry-out gift boxes.  Pretty wire edge ribbon and vintage paper shred in the basket below.

One of a kind journals with handcrafted covers

I just finished making a BIG batch of one of a kind journals for the store.

Tea stained lined paper inside and each cover is a unique, one of a kind work of art.

5×7 size.

Regular retail price is $8.95 each.

Sophie’s price is just $4.50!

Lots of different cover styles to choose from.

Would make a great Mother’s Day gift.

Mother’s Day is May 10th.

More playing with paper . . . .

This is one of the vintage repro post cards we just got in.  I simply plopped it into this pretty glittery pink picture frame.

I got these journals over a year ago.  Love the aged, lined paper inside, but the covers just ‘didn’t grab me’.  And obviously didn’t grab many of my customers because I don’t think I’ve sold a one of them!

Time for a make-over!  I started with these assorted embellishments purchased at the craft store:

Then rifled through my paper stash to find papers that suited the embellishments AND the color of the covers of the journals.  Slapped on some paper and embellishments and VOILA!

Close up of each one:

And a few more framed paper craft thingys:

Left space in the middle for a photograph on this ‘baby girl’ one:

I REALLY need a new (better!) digital camera so I can take close up pictures!  sigh.  Maybe, someday.
