Beach cottage decor in my etsy shop

It’s been a while since I blogged about my etsy shop; so here you go!  A post about the great beach cottage decor items in my blog.

LOTS of Framed white fingerling starfish.

Great hung alone, or in a group.

OR hang a sea glass wreath with a couple of framed starfish.

This is the very LAST of the sea glass wreaths that I will EVER be making.  I had stumbled upon a ‘once in a lifetime’ AMAZING buy on the glass to make these; and I’ve finally used it all up.

For as ‘simple’ as they appear to be; they are EXTREMELY time consuming to make also.  There is NO way I could actually charge for the amount of time I put into them. Lesson learned.   Even though they were so labor intensive that they can’t be make ‘profitably’; they really are beautiful in person.

When I first got the sea glass and was sorting through it, I had set aside a few ‘extra pretty’ pieces.  Some uniquely shaped; perfectly round or square or like gumdrops.  they were just too special to mix in with all the other pieces on the wreaths.  So, I put together some little ‘treasure’ boxes for them.

I custom blended this glitter for these mermaid crowns.

And of course, beach cottage SIGNS in my etsy shop!

Lots of new SMALLS at Stars

P1070335A big ole basket FULL of assorted monograms and small signs.  Priced $3 – $10.00.

P1070315Added a lot of new things to the spinner rack.

P1070313Bags of colorful little drink umbrellas for your summer party.

P1070314A new batch of little fauXzen Charlottes for your altered art projects.

P1070317Wild flower design blank note cards.

P1070318Sets of three blank note cards.

P1070320Very vintage looking gold foil note cards.

P1070319I moved the packaged nests with eggs to the spinner rack.

P1070321Always plenty of cute mini take out gift boxes and gift enclosure cards.

P1070305An AMAZING cake plate with dome lid!!!!  I have never seen one like this, where the platter sits flat on the table.  The platter has a raised rim that the dome top fits inside of, so the lid CAN’T slide off!  (there is one VERY tiny chip on the rim; barely noticeable)

P1070272Doing some beach themed collages.

P1070273LOVE the sparkles on the sea horses!!

1 stars bannerBrought in a LOT of newly created shell topped bottles, and have them displayed in the ‘over the bed’ shelf.

P1070087

P1070088And some newly made sea glass wreaths!

P1070118This big one has already sold, but I have several more to take in.

P1070090A couple of framed and matted sea glass collections.

P1070309And the biggest change is that I moved all the white dinner dishes from one of the ‘outward facing shelves’ on the back aisle to the big aqua hutch right by the entrance.  Just swapped them out with the cake pedestals that were there.

P1070298The dessert stands (MOST of them that is!) are here, where the white plated and bowls used to be.

P1070328It just makes more sense to have the rest of the white dishes closer to the others that I moved to the right side of the entrance a while back.  PLUS, the plates were not selling very well where I had them.  So hopefully this will improve sales!

This picture was taken BEFORE I removed the cake stands and put the plates and bowls on the hutch, but it’s the only picture that I have where you can SEE how nicely the display ‘transitions’ from the two front shelves to the hutch.

P1070307Just piled the stacks as high as I could!

P1070308And with them now being right at waist level, it will be easier to ‘dig through them’ to find exactly what you need!

P1070329Beat the heat and enjoy a bit of SHOPPING THERAPY at STARS!

OPEN 7 DAYS A WEEK; 11AM – 6PM.

WHERE is our summer?!?!?!?

It’s been raining for almost a week now.  sigh.  I really COUNT ON being able to get a lot of furniture painted outside this time of year, to hold me over for the long, wet winter when I can’t paint outside.  Feels like we had a week of summer and it’s FALL already.  But I guess this isn’t as bad as the crazy heat wave so much of the res of the country in enduring right now.  SO, since I can’t work on my painting projects, I’ve been working on listing new stuff in my etsy shop:

A very shabby chic pair of vintage cast plaster cherubs.

Vintage soup tureen WITH the plate and ladle!!  (almost NEVER find them with the ladles!)

A couple of different sets of three vintage apothecary jars.

Bentwood canisters with vintage postcard labels.

Two different tea light birds with nest in a jar.

 Trio of vintage pretty bottles.

Vintage wood bowl with five handstitched vintage quilt hearts.

Two different sea glass wreaths.

Pair of vintage clear glass vases.

Seaglass wreaths

Been on a bit of a seaglass wreath ‘binge’ lately!

Once you start making them, they become addictive!

Smaller forms made from leftover cardboard from the bigger forms.

Tan glass with aqua accents.  I think this is my favorite color combination.

More small ones.  In aqua/green and aqua/white.

This white/aqua ones feels kind of ‘snowflake-ish’!

The small/medium sized ones display nicely in picture easels.

The tiniest one I just tucked into this cubby shelf.

The biggest ones look nice hanging on the wall.  Would also be pretty set into a round tray with candles in the center.

And these two just leaning on a shelf.

New items on etsy

Two quick reminders first:  Today is the LAST DAY of the spring craft and antiques show at the Washington County Fairgrounds; doors close at 5pm.  And don’t forget the Grown-ups Easter Egg Hunt tomorrow at noon at BOTH Stars antique Malls in Portland!

And here’s what I’ve recently listed in MY etsy shop:

After I’ve recovered from the spring show, and have both booths restocked, I’ll be doing some SERIOUS STASH PURGING, and listing LOTS more stuff on etsy.  Will be getting rid of ALL my grubby candles and all the primitives left over from the show.  To make the most of the high cost of shipping, I’ll be FILLING ‘flat rate priority mail boxes’ and selling the contents as a ‘grouping’ of items.  If you aren’t already subscribed to my blog; this would be a good time to do so!

A few new things at Stars

A shabby beach end table.

All that new shelving took up more space than I was expecting.  Gotta STACK up some of the furniture now!

Shabby beach coffee table.

And again, had to stack.

Little decorative shutters.

Little sea glass wreath hung in a frame.

Jars of shells.

Finials.
