New items on etsy

Two quick reminders first:  Today is the LAST DAY of the spring craft and antiques show at the Washington County Fairgrounds; doors close at 5pm.  And don’t forget the Grown-ups Easter Egg Hunt tomorrow at noon at BOTH Stars antique Malls in Portland!

And here’s what I’ve recently listed in MY etsy shop:

After I’ve recovered from the spring show, and have both booths restocked, I’ll be doing some SERIOUS STASH PURGING, and listing LOTS more stuff on etsy.  Will be getting rid of ALL my grubby candles and all the primitives left over from the show.  To make the most of the high cost of shipping, I’ll be FILLING ‘flat rate priority mail boxes’ and selling the contents as a ‘grouping’ of items.  If you aren’t already subscribed to my blog; this would be a good time to do so!

Every Husbands Nightmare Bazaar ~ Spring 2008

The show runs Tuesday, April 22 – Saturday, April 26th at the Washington County Fairgrounds in Hillsboro, Oregon.  (about ten minuted from our store)

The trailer is loaded (packed FULL!) and we’re ready to head off.

Michael brings in pile after pile of boxes.

A smiling Michael sits in the empty trailer thinking, “My work here is done!”

Alas, MY work has just begun!  I have about 12 hours to get all this stuff unpacked and displayed!

This is Jackie, the shows new owner.  I bought her the crown so everyone would know SHE’S the boss.  Jackie worked with the previous owner for numerous years, so she’s a familiar face to the vendors, she’s just the gal in charge now!  Please notice all the EMPTINESS behind her . . . . and remember that when you see the pictures I show you that were taken the following day.

Here’s our little corner of the show.  I couldn’t get back far enough to get the sides in the same picture.  It’s all the same stuff we brought back from the last show, so I didn’t take as many pictures of our set up as I did at the previous show.

Michael built two these wonderful little display curios.  It’s just a regular shelf with lathe strips across the front to create the look of cubbies.  They really show off the pretty cottage stuff nicely.

Spring in the Country show April 2008

Here are the pictures of ‘my’ little corner of the show.  Spring in the Country is at the Claclamas County Fairgrounds; and runs Tuesday, April 8 – Saturday, April 12.

This is a ‘blended show’, so not everything  in the pictures is our stuff (but 99% of it is!) This is the section that I did all the display on.  I have pictures of the rest of the show to post, but that is going to have to wait for another post.

WordPress changed their format, and the new picture loader TOTALLY SUCKS!  Pardon my language, but that is putting in politely!  All the pictures load to the beginning of the post.  Then I have to click on it, copy it, delete it, then paste it to where I really want it to be!  Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyy too time consuming.  Especially when I have lots of pictures to post.

Oh, and they don’t have a spellcheck feature anymore either!  sheesh!  It’s not that I’m bad at spelling; but I am not a great typist and my old arthritic fingers just hit the wrong keys sometimes.   I am not happy WordPress customer today!
