In the works . . .

Several old stools that need re-upholstered seats.

I’ve got the legs primed, just need to decide on fabric color so I can paint the legs to match.

I’m leaning towards BURLAP for the fabric.  I’ve got three different colors of burlap.

I guess I’ll be covering OVER the old cover on this one.  Those old tacks will NOT come out!

I’ll probably do THIS one first, since it’s the easiest!

More Ralph Lauren tobacco glaze love

Thrifted ceramic cherubs. Were originally a very pale green.

Spray painted them white, and sandded a little to distress.  They look okay. . . Just need a little something more.

And added some RL glaze lovin’. Better?

Another cute little thrifted cherub made from more of a concrete texture material.

With some RL lovin’.

Thrifted pair of birds already had a wee bit of glazing.

More defined after a little Ralph lovin’.

These are all destined for our space at Stars in a couple of weeks. (Still awaiting our larger space)

Can’t find a handle that fits???

We run into this QUITE often when we are re-doing old furniture pieces with drawers or doors.    My preference is to look for items that had SINGLE HOLE knobs or pulls if some are missing.  Easy to replace.  BUT, for older items with TWO hole knobs missing, finding a NEW knob or pull that fits those holes can be a challenge, to say the least.

IF you are totally sanding and refinishing the item, you can fill the  just  holes with putty before you paint and then drill new holes to fit your new hardware.  But, if you ‘just need a new pull’ check out THIS cute and simple idea!

Such a fun look.  I might even have to try it ‘on purpose’ and not just out of desperation!

Thrift store accent table re-do

Found this sweet little accent table at the thrift store.

Well this picture sure  turned out terrible!  But there is a small boo-boo on the edge, you can kind of see it.  I sanded that out and sanded the top and edges.  Painted the whole thing black, then sanded to distress it a bit.  Decided to stamp on some fleur-de-lis to go with the Paris apartment theme I am creating at the antique mall.
